• When you hear the fire alarm sound, have your students rise and exit the room in an orderly fashion. Close doors and windows.
• Each teacher will lead his or her class to the designated area. Take roll and determine which students are not accounted for.
• Each teacher is responsible for keeping all students together in the class group. No students are to be released without administrative approval. (The attendance secretary will bring a full list of students by class and note the names of students who have been released to leave).
• Several staff members will be assigned to check the bathrooms and halls to insure that evacuation has been complete.
